May is an astrologically complex month. Saturn, the Planet of Karma, is retrograding from May 23, 2021, until Oct 11, 2021. It is followed by a lunar eclipse that will take place on May 26, 2021. In addition, Mercury, the planet of communication, is going to retrograde in its Gemini sign on May 29, 2021. The north node or Rahu is also dominating the month of May.

Saturn Retrograde: Saturn is starting its retrograde on May 23, in its sign Capricorn at 19 degrees. Saturn retrogrades every year for about 4-5 months. Retrogression is a period when the planet appears to move backwards in relation to the earth, but it does not change its position. The effects of retrograde are more powerful five days before and five days after the event especially for those going under Saturn's period.
Saturn is planet that symbolize lessons, patience, rules and discipline.Saturn's energy is at its peak during retrograde, and we can feel as if our progress is meeting with resistance, obstacles, delays that can slow us down. At times, you may become quite frustrated, but don't give in. Saturn is testing you. The best thing to do during this time is to continue with a task that you have paused and cultivate some time for yourself in a quiet environment to meditate.
Saturn's retrograde is one to embrace than to worry about. Its retrograde period helps us develop inner strength and increase self-discipline. Saturn's transit means we have given more time to realign our karma and find time to tap into your mental, physical, and emotional health and create boundaries that work for you.
Lunar Eclipse: The eclipse season starts with a total lunar eclipse happening on May 26, 2021, followed by a solar eclipse on June 10, 2021. If you are in Australia, the western United States, South America, or in Southeast Asia, you will see the full moon turn a shade of red for about 14 minutes during this total lunar eclipse. The lunar eclipse begins at 1:47 am PDT, reaching totality at 4:12 and ending at 6:49 am. Since the full moon on May 26 is a Super-moon, also known as the Super Flower Blood Moon, the energies that it carries are very strong. Many of us might already be feeling this in our life. This lunation will illuminate what needs to be changed profoundly. It usually sheds light on where the truth needs to come out, which could be a relationship, career, or anything else that we are trying to avoid. The changes from the eclipse take place over the following six months, but this marks a turning point for determining what we consider to be truth or fantasy.
Full moons tend to trigger heavy emotions that can become a source of disappointment than satisfaction. So for a couple of days, stay open-minded to see your situation from another's perspective, take care of your health, and let go of what no longer serves you.
Mercury Retrograde: Mercury, the fastest moving planet in our solar system, goes retrograde from May 29, 2021, until June 22, 2021. Mercury begins retrograde at 0 degrees Gemini and will move back into the sign of Taurus. Mercury governs our thinking process, our intellect, communication skills. It oversees trade and commerce, banking, and short journeys of all kinds.
Sometimes actions have to be repeated with Mercury retrograde. This retrograde is a perfect time to look back and revisit the past with increased clarity. Review projects and plans at this time, but wait until Mercury becomes direct to make final decisions.
Also, be mindful of your words. Speak with kindness. Remember to double-check texts or emails before sending them to avoid any communication gaps.
The Mercury retrograde is also a great time to reconnect with old friends, resolve old issues, make new plans and find objects that had been missing.
